Thursday, June 28
4:30 Ma/Pa’s and Central Committee meet at Stake Center.
5:00 a.m. Everyone else meet at Stake Center with posibles bags. (Meet with your family where you put your buckets the night before. Make sure they get breakfast and lunch and go potty, then head to the buses with buckets, name badges and family flags.)
6:00 a.m. Depart on buses (Count heads)
8:00 – 8:30 a.m Bathroom stop
1:00 p.m. Arrive in Martin’s Cove (Bathrooms and eat lunch)
2:00 -3:00 p.m. Meeting in the Trek Center with the Missionaries (Head Count, sit as families)
3:00 p.m. Load Handcarts (family buckets, water jugs, first aid, box, flag and rope. Make sure everyone has their possibles bag with water) Listen to know which direction your family will go in 1 of 2 groups.
5:30 p.m. Arrive in Cherry Creek West Campground, Set up camp (girl, boy, leader tents, find garbage bags with sleeping bags and put in tents with bucket by the fire, sharing fire pit with one other family.) Ask about blisters and chaffing, etc.
6:00 ish Dinner (Make sure youth are eating and drinking and feeling okay. Help Aunts and Uncles clean up.)
7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Buck skinner’s Ball and Cobbler dessert (Keep track of your family. They should check out with you and be back to their family by 9:00 p.m.) Dance with them and make sure they get involved.
9:00 p.m. Family time (get acquainted games, pioneer stories, ask about events of the day, fires, snacks, ready for bed.)
10:00 – 10:30 Quiet time and lights out. (Family prayer, scriptures, tomorrow’s schedule.)
Friday, June 29
6:00 a.m. Wake up and devotional (roll up sleeping bags)
6:30 a.m. Breakfast and pack lunch (Make sure they all eat and have a lunch in the bandanas in their possible bag or box.)
7:30ish Load handcarts (buckets with extra shoes, first aid kits, full water jugs and water bottles, family flag and box with extras)
(Zip tents well and flatten tents.)
8:00 a.m. Let’s Trek (Head count) (Follow instructions as to which group you will be going with and keep your family near your handcart at all times taking turns, holding onto to rope and drinking water.)
9:00 – 11:30 a.m. Meeting in Dan Jones Cove with missionaries
Martin’s Cove Experience (one family at a time)
11:30 a.m. Lunch at handcart parking and potties (keep track of family and make sure they eat and drink water.)
12:30 – 3:30 p.m. Starting 3 groups for statues and river crossing then head to Women’s Pull.
3:30 p.m. Men’s Callout/Sisters’ Pull (Pa’s with the boys in the family, Ma’s with the girls in the family.)
4:15 p.m. Trek back to camp (Head count and drink, drink, drink)
6:00 p.m. Dinner Feast (Help Aunts and Uncles clean up.)
7:00 p.m. Ephraim Hanks and Thisbe Read Presentation by the Missionaries.
8:00 p.m. Pony Express Missionary (Make sure all of your family is at your camp.)
8:15 – 10:00 p.m. Family time (Make sure they all get a letter and let them have alone time. Build a fire, do activities, games, stories and talk about their feelings of what they experienced today. Help them understand and feel it.)
10:00 p.m. Quiet time and lights out. (Family prayers and scriptures and tomorrow’s schedule. Make sure they are warm enough.)
Sat. June 30
5:30 a.m. Wake up and devotional.
6:00 a.m. Breakfast and pack a lunch (Make sure they eat and pack a lunch)
6:30 a.m. Break camp and load trailers and handcarts. (Put everything back into trailers they came in, pack buckets, first aid kits, family flag, full jugs and boxes in handcarts.) (Make sure your family has their lunches and water bottles full.)
7:00 – 8:30 a.m. Trek to Visitor’s Center/Bus Lot
8:30 a.m. Turn in handcarts (Bathrooms, take everything to buses, head count, lunches?)
9:00 a.m. Leave Martin’s Cove (74.9 miles about l hr. and 13 min. to Rock Creek Hollow)
10:15 a.m. Arrive in Rock Creek Hollow; potties, missionaries
11:30 a.m. Bandana Lunches
12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Testimony Meeting Rock Hollow Amphitheater #1
2:00 p.m. Prepare to Depart, New T-shirts, potties (Make sure they all get shirts and go potty.)
2:30 p.m. Leaving Rock Hollow (Count heads) (West Point, 308 miles – 5 hrs, 14 min.)
PM – dinner stop (Keep track of your family and make sure they eat.)
8:30 p.m. Arrive at West Point Stake Center (Please make sure that each of your family members get their belongings and have a ride home.) This is good-bye….until July fireside….
